Waiting 1 full week to be refunded for a click and collect item that was unavailable. The second time this has happened. I suggest Animates review the process so that transactions only go through when an item is picked, not instantly, which prevents being charged when items are not available as website suggests. Keeping better track of stock levels woukd also help prevent these situations. Store staff are friendly and pleasant, unforunately they refer the matter to Head Office who are unable to be reached. There has been 1/2 a week of operating banking days during this time, the main problem is the inadequately setup ordering process and the dragged out manual refund process, regardless of time of year - a customers money should not be held this length of time. Still waiting for return of funds.
This is not Animates Store which quite a number of people confuses with. This is the Animates Support or Head Office. It's pet friendly office and pets go through training process before they are allowed to visit the office. It's a rewarding experience to work amidst lovely pets who makes your day rewarding. This allows staff member to connect with the key purpose of our business - making pets and pets parents life easier and fun filled.
This is the Head Office of Animates Holdings New Zealand Limited. It's a pet friendly and pet oriented work environment. From Cats, Dogs, Birds to Fishes - all visits the site regularly. The site does not have any retail setup.
Have decided to no longer purchase from Animates due to the appalling way in which my last online order was handled. I give you an extra star for the customer services person Sean who tried his very best to help fix what already was the worst experience possible through no fault of his own.
I tried to buy a pet feeder from animates online sale. They were advertising at 25% off, turns out they had no stock so I messaged them and they said no problem they will honour the price and let me know when in stock. Was impressed, however nothing from them a few months later so I message them and all of a sudden they won’t honour the price. They say they sent me a 25% discount but I never received anything and I screenshot and showed them nothing was received. They only offered a 20% discount, so I called them. Again lovely person on the phone agreed they would honour the 25% discounted price only to be emailed later a 20% discount was all they would do. I have tried my best and at this point it’s not about the money. What they have done is not honest or legal. Very poor. Have reportedly the commerce commission for them to deal with
This is for the hassle I'm having to deal with following a three month security hole in your online store's security and the subsequent transaction disputes applied to my card. Cheers for that.
It is only a Support Office and not a retail store.
