Low quality of staff, I arrived had one beer, I was driving, I kept getting hounded by one male patron to get up onto the dance floor and dance, when I was dancing off the dance floor with my drink, then got told I have to leave because the RSA staff said I was intoxicated, I walked out and drove home, don't go here alone, you'll get kicked out.
Great Venue, good mix of music, plenty of seating and friendly staff. Plenty of options for drinks an the staff make amazing cocktails. Shout out to the new barmaid who started last night. You powered through and did an amazing job! Well done Altitude!
Horrible, horrible lady taking our photos when we arrived. She was cranky and barked orders at us. This was my first time here and I did not know the procedures of taking photos and when to go in. She was just rude. Late on a Friday night on the October long weekend I thought this place would be pumping like the Irish Pub we just left, but alas there was nothing redeemable about this place. It was half empty, no character, lifeless and ho hum music. ‘ Maybe the experience at the front door made me negative about everything else but there is not much to like about this club.
Really disappointed in the security staff. Me and my sister were at Altitude last night, trying to enjoy our night off when we had a bottle thrown at us, hitting my sister in the face and covering me in water. When trying to leave the dance floor to notify security a guy threatened to knock me out because I ran into him by accident while unable to see because my eyes were burning. When we told security about the bottle incident and pointed out who had made threats, they just laughed and made jokes about what the guy looked like. No action was taken, and they didn't do their job, I'm absolutely appalled and me nor my sister will be visiting this club again as we don't feel safe there anymore. Get your act together guys.
Tried to go in on a quiet Saturday night to be told that the two Africans in our group were not allowed in because they had been drinking. We asked them to breathalyze the two of them which would prove that they hadn't been drinking as they do not drink due to religious reasons. We were then told none of us are allowed in and the police would be called if we didn't "go away". Appalling behaviour from security and quite disappointing to see this happens in the 21st century.
Absolutely disgusting. My Japanese friend was called racist slurs while lining up to get into this club and when we told the bouncers at the front their response was they couldn’t care less about racism and then continued to let the people referring to my Japanese friend as a ‘’rice paddy’’ in but not my friend... The bouncers were racially prejudice and would definitely not recommend this club to anyone.
Do not go to this place. I have never seen a more racist group of security guards and managers in my life. Our basketball team from Sydney were upnfor the weekend. We had a taxi drop us off and had dinner at a place up the road. We then went to the nightclub to be told immediately by the security guards that the 2 black Africans that were with us were not allowed because they had drinks when they got off the cab. The hilarious thing is they are Muslim and don't drink. Was a complete targeted racism effort as they never said a word to any other members on the team. Quite disgusted this type of behaviour happens in Australia.
All about dancing, and a place to chill too. Young crowd but aren't we all young at heart?
Went twice had two drinks only both times go out for a smoke and your not allowed back in so weak complete waste of money it's not even worth calling a club
Great nightclub. The new owners have done alot to improve the standards of the place. Port Macquarie is a small regonial town and its luckly to have a proper late night trading 100% nightclub that can pump out loud music well into the morning. The locals take it for granted as it's been running as a nightclub for more then 25 years. Many other coastal towns larger then port don't have a late night venue and start closing at 1130. I believe Altitude is the only operating nightclub licence between the gold coast and Sydney. Look at it glass half full and it's an amazing little nightclub considering the small town that it is based in. Reading through the other reviews you can easily see who doesn't make it into the venue.
