MEX Club - Mayfield Ex-Services Club

Fresh,Fast food and a large menu selection and variety of foods from all Asian dishes to three to four different roasts of the day and soups of the day. Very responsible priced and a few dollars cheaper if you are a member of the club, which the members joining fee is five dollars a year. All round great club,the star buffet is the one for me and it's one price all you eat.

"A buffet is the best place one might say." And Star Buffet topples all of that into something improved! The tables were crisp clean, the staff were always helpful and... the food was absolutely scrumptious! I had chips, Salt and Pepper fish, Chocolate Marshmallows at the fondue , it was endless for me! I loved it all! I cannot believe a spacious room turns into a moment of a lifetime for all us to endure. So remember next time, "Meet me at the Mex!"

Lived in and loved the Waratah/Mayfield area for over 5 years. I’d heard the inside of the sad looking little club had been done up....so I thought I’d stop in for a look. WORST MISTAKE since moving to the area. As ROTTEN and DECREPIT as the outside looks, three steps inside the door I was met but ATTITUDE so OFFENSIVE that I was shocked. The fact that more than two people at the desk was the only stress FRAN appeared to be under. I could see no other cause for her to say “We’re not WESTS!!!! WE’RE NOTTT WEESSTTSS!!!!!” My mistake. How silly of me to see MEX and connect it to NEX, in town, and show my West’s card. “Ok” I said. “I’ll sign in?? Do you need to take yell as if it as if it causes you personal offence?” Whoa. Wrong thing to say. I don’t believe Fran was finished as I assured her they needn’t worry about me or my business again. Couldn’t tell you about what the rest of the staff thought. They didn’t move. Here I was thinking it was just their rebranding as MEX that was ill conceived of and out the of touch. Are you trying to build or break the poor old Diggers.??

The food is yum here also at great prices. Has good coffee. Near bar, keno, Wide screen Tv. Amenities available
