Allure Cafe and Gallery

Great place! I didn’t get any food here, so no review there. Not sure what everyone’s beef is about this place. The staff is nice, the smoothies are good, serves C4 coffee & the WiFi is great for the South Island :)

Unfortunately probably one of the worst meals I've eaten out. Went here with family and no-one enjoyed their meals. I had an avocado + cheese toastie - I think they blended avocado into melted cheese or something but what I got resembled some strange sort of unappetising (and flavourless) green goo sandwiched between three pieces of bread. Some of our meals were served with fries, which surprised us when they came out as being insanely overcooked + oily. My partner got a smoothie (hoping for real fruit), which turned out to be a watery milkshake that tasted as if it had been made with syrup. I would recommend trying out other eateries in the area, as there's nothing alluring about this place.

People seem to like the coffee, but food was underwhelming unfortunately. Fish & chips and chicken schnitzel came straight out of the freezer. To be fair, owners seem nice and offered a partial refund.

Overcooked eggs Stale bread Egg shell in meal Small blood stain on my paper napkin Iced coffee had no flavourful Went to the Beach House the following day and had a way better meal and experience for the same price.
