I recently bought some Schlage Entrance Sets through Allegion. The quality of the finish could only be described as 'Cheap and Nasty' in comparison to all other door hardware I have ever purchased Being a commercial builder I purchase a lot of hardware. When the issue was raised and I tried to send the unopened boxes back I was advised the best they could do was a 50% restocking fee. Absolutely pathetic customer service from Allegion. Substandard products. I would highly advise to avoid this company and their brands if you have a choice. There are so many better options. Allegion - If you want to the right thing in this case and take your awful entrance sets back you will be able to track me down. I refuse to return them at the 50% fee to put them back on the shelf. I would rather give them away to someone with no taste who can use them.
