Excellent service, the staff make you feel welcome. Beautiful sharing platter for starters, I recommend getting the chefs choice. Lovely spaghetti and a wide variety of choices. Matched with a gorgeous red wine too. My only gripe was the venue becomes extremely hot and our friends weren't feeling comfortable. Our visit was in the middle of winter, so bring a t shirt if you cannot handle the heat. 4.5 out of five stars, it is worth visiting for the amazing staff and beautiful food.

Food was absolutely amazing, the guy who served us was friendly and nice. Enjoyed the valentines dinner with live music in this lovely restaurant. Desserts are very worth to try! Just have a question, can you please tell me where can I find those chicken plates? My boyfriend loves them

A young Italian chef ‘Riccardo’ recently crossed my path through a work situation and after chatting about one of my favourite destinations Italy and the amazing food I’ve had there over the years I asked him where he and his colleagues frequent to eat good home made and home style regional Italian food and he recommended Alba. Now you know it’s bound to be good if chefs go there to have authentic fare but this place was so much better than I imagined. It’s not your fine dining upmarket expensive experience …it is rather I imagine to chefs like Riccardo a bit like going home .. All the dishes we had were delicious..I recommend the homemade pasta with octopus ragout..the 12 hour slow baked shoulder of lamb and the tiramisu .. it’s fully licensed and has very interesting Italian wines ..the staff are genuinely Italian and warm and hospitable… I loved this place and I’ve already booked myself and friends in for a night out.

Amazing food, nothing more needs to be said. Every mouthful of food was just so enjoyable. I'd highly recommend booking a table in advance as there was a queue waiting outside. I'd have given them 5 stars, but deducted one star as we felt like we were being rushed out the door after we had finished our main course and didn't opt for desert. We still had half a bottle of wine between two of us and wanted to stay and enjoy the wine, but just felt so rushed to leave from the waitstaff which unfortunately tainted an otherwise perfectly good experience.

Albas is by far the best restaurant on King street. Exemplary service, all the staff are wonderful. They know the menu and the wine list really well don’t hesitate to make suggestions for those who don’t know a lot about the cuisine. Great location that is walking distance from the station. Street parking available too. They accept AMEX. Great specials early in the week and excellent vibes

The Tuesday deal of 3 courses for $45 is amazing. The pasta with 24hr slow cooked octopus ragout was melt-in- the-mouth delicious. Our recommended red wine was - Negromaro - was very smooth. The service is always friendly & attentive. There was also live music which was not too intrusive. Vegetarian options: There are always vegan options on the chalkboard.

Service was really impeccable with experienced waiters constantly checking on us. Everyone member of the staff that we saw was speaking Italian, and the food was really authentic. Had the zucchini and prawn pasta, and the cuttlefish one. Both really al dente andfull of flavour. We had the focaccia and potato smash for starters - they were also good, but might try something different next time.

Overall it was a nice meal. Very friendly staff and cozy restaurant. However, maybe I put too much expectations in the 24h octopus ragu pasta, I didn’t not appreciate the texture of wholemeal pasta

The food is amazing. Well priced, and deliciously prepared. I had the pork neck, something new for me, and I didn’t regret it. The owner is very welcoming, and the bubbly waitress was so amazing. Thank you for a yummy, entertaining evening.

The absolute best Italian food our team has ever eaten. Even compared to many restaurants in Italy! The Salentinian cuisine is exquisite and super flavourful. The staff is very friendly and the owner Andrea is always smiling and eager to meet, greet and mingle. Great food, great value, highly recommend!
