This is a beautiful, peaceful place. It is meticulously maintained, without compromising the stunning, natural environment.
If you have to move onward, this place is well looked after and maintained to a high standard.
I would have NEVER thought I'd ever leave a review on a cemetery however the staff, care and respect for our passed ones are surely in good hands at Akatarawa Cemetery. The grounds are clean and well maintained and the staff make you feel as comfortable as possible during such a hard and grieving stage. I highly recommend Akatarawa as their grounds, staff and service are second to none.

Although this is a Cemetery, it is really well set out and beautifully cared for. There is a Crematorium on site here with a Chapel as well. Toilets on site. The Cemetery is being upgraded and expanded. It gets very windy up there as it is in the open . I suggest you take warm clothing even in summer .

very peaceful and lovely kept grounds. We are lucky to have such a lovely cementary in Upper Hutt.
It is so beautiful, thank you for looking after this special place where our love ones rest in peace
