Great little community style park that sees plenty of dogs out having a brilliant time.....especially if there are model planes to chase.

Always a bit of activity going on whether local sports teams, runners, or just chirpy flocks of parakeets.

Go here and enjoy connecting with suburban nature.

Lovely park. Worth a visit. Have a picnic there. Also the place where they filmed some of LOTR. Isengard.

The site where some of the river scenes from The Fellowship of the Ring were filmed, and I suspect a pleasant place to cool off on a hot day. Not a great deal of facilities located there, but given how close to Wellington it is, I don't think that is a big issue.

Easy pull off of main road.  Beautiful river running through it.  Several trails to walk.  The park is free to explore.
