Fantastic place to visit, highly recommended. Staff are really friendly and informative. The displays are well looked after and very interesting. It's a good day out to ride the trams down to St Kilda playground.Visited onWeekendWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNo
The volunteers are wonderful people. My son could of travelled up and down the line all day.
Visit this place became a member so I can help preserve our history. Great value for money and great day out with the kids Small and big.
Loved this place! So much South Australian History intertwined with our public especially tram history. Great displays, loads of photos. Volunteers had lots of interesting stories. Entrance fee included a tram ride. However, for me, the displays of actual early trams and the incredible workmanship including; carpentry and leadlight panels was just stunning! Many of the displays such as signal box are interactive. The museum is on a large lot of land so taking a picnic lunch on a fine day would be nice! Put this on your must do family outing list and support the keeping of our history.
Has various trams Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney as well as trolley electric buses. Best part is tram rides three were running on the day to the playground. You can buy tickets to the museum and rides from the St Kilda Playground. Really friendly volunteers so made the day a fun day out.
Fantastic collection of heritage trams with many operational examples you can ride on, always worth a visit!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
What a great place! Kids can run around and there are unlimited tram rides. Great to park here and get the tram to St Kilda playground.
Some great history of the trams in south Australia. They have old models trams stored that you can look at and walk through, plus they run a couple of old model trams along a shortened track every half hour.Visited onWeekendReservation recommendedNot sure
A fantastic place to visit to enjoy and experience Adelaide's public transport history, with a few interstate exhibits as well. You can ride on an old Adelaide Glenelg Tram, or some of the original trams from the 1910s and 1920s that serviced Adelaide until the 1950s. There is also a couple of classic Melbourne W Class Trams, one of which was built by Holdens in Adelaide. There's also some Trolley Buses on display. The Trams have been beautifully restored and are well presented and looked after. Only downside is it's located in the middle of nowhere and not open as often as other places.
