I haven’t been to this area for a while, but I’m so glad I stopped by! The staff and owner were super friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. I loved the vibe, will definitely worth a visit when you’re driving past Fairfield!
My work ordered food catered from this bakery for Christmas and can I say the portion sizes are great and the flavour is delicious!!! Highly recommend and you get free delivery over $200 if you’re within their range!
It was a cold day, and we were starving for breakfast. Around Fairfield there are lots of cafes but we wanted something different, so we picked the A1 at Fairfield, and it was good to see that they were packed with fresh food and obviously a long queue which was worth it for sure. The girl at the reception was very nice and showed us where to sit outside. It was a cold day, and there were pigeons flying everywhere, but when the food came, we were surprised with the quality and generous size for breakfast. It was simple but absolutely delicious. Well presented, warm and yummy. Definitely will try it again. Highly recommended for a Middle Eastern style breakfast
We love A1. Terrific Lebanese food at very reasonable prices. We had the foldovers and tabouleh tonight. They were excellent. Great service too. We have always found the staff very friendly here and it’s very common to hear chirpy laughter from the kitchen area which is lovely. It’s not just the takeaway foods that are good here. The eat in breakfast served in the lovely side courtyard is utterly delicious. I had the big breakfast this morning and it’s huge and utterly replete with superb middle eastern food. I got nowhere near to finishing it. And, in an era where big breakfasts are regularly around $25, the one here is a mere $15.50. It is astonishing value. Oh, and the coffee is really good here too. This is such a great place. I can’t fault it. We keep coming back and back to it year after year. Well done guys!!
Has good potential, but everything is pre-cooked and then reheated to order. Pies, wraps, bureks, etc., they all get reheated and the pastry is flattened and lifeless in the press. Cheese pie heated in the press but not hot enough to melt the cheese, lamb pie was heated enough to warm the meat but the press squeezed the life out of the pastry, breekie wrap was once fresh but a fried egg goes to plastic after three hours in the refrigerated window and two minutes in the press. Unfortunately, the Banana bread woul probably have fared the best under the press but it was the only item excluded from that treatment... A sad, dry, baked 3 days ago slice of banana bread is not worth $7.5, IMHO
