These are the croissants you are looking for! Buttery, crunchy, flakey goodness. There are places that promote their pastries as being special or build social media hype... But after you take a bite you think 'is that it?'. If you have had that experience then come to A Taste of France to enjoy croissant and pastry happiness for real. My favourite pastry is the Chocolate Escargot: tangy glaze, rich chocolate bits, and flavoursome pastry base... Yum! Almost as good as a warm croissant with jam for breakfast! Staff are friendly and happy, and the high ceilings and limited seating makes for a nice atmosphere
Very attractive pastry variety! The owner was very friendly and helpful. They use Bonsoy for soy milk and I ordered small soy latte which was still only $4.80. Good reasonable price: and taste of coffee was good, too! I’ll definitely come back for both coffee and pastry and should try their sandwiches as well next time.
I Love this French cafe! It has a relaxing vibe, makes you feel calm and relax. Their coffee, baguette, pasties everything are so yummya lot of options to choose from their menu.
Like the vibe and the food! I ordered a Ham, Cheese and Tomatoes toastie, really crispy and good!Recommended dishesVegetable Baguette
Great coffee and iced chocolates. Croissant, banana bread and chocolate croissants were divine. Conveniently located close to apartments and the staff are friendly.
A Treat of France - Nth Melbourne Just a short trip across the road from the main entrance to the RMHospital, we discovered this wee treat. We headed here smartly in between appointments as we were desperate for our caffeine fix, and starting to get a little peckish as well. Thankfully the coffee making on our first visit was top notch, and the selection of filled baguettes had something for everyone. I had my turkey and Brie cheese one, toasted, and it was fantastic! My companions also shared a homemade sausage roll, which was first class too. The rest of the sweet treats looked sensational, although they would have to wait until my second visit today before I could try one out. Unfortunately, because it was later in the afternoon this time around, the chocolat au pain were long sold out, so I made do with an apricot pastry, which was certainly delish! My takeaway coffee was a little too hot this time around, so I had to wait a while for it to cool off. Otherwise, it tasted very good. The ambience is warm, and the service inviting especially so on our Tuesday morning visit, with attentive and chatty service staff, including the barista. 4.5 stars and well recommended for a visit.
The range is food at this place is great if you just want to get something quick or want to enjoy a nice lunch with some friends. They really take food preparation seriously and make sure that what you order is top notch. The breakfast bacon and egg muffins was pre assembled, but when re heated, they parted up again and heated/toasted all the individual pieces and reassembled it so it didn't end up a soggy mess when it's just microwaved. The coffee is great and the dessert look scrumptious. I have a feeling this place will be a go-to from now on for a lot of workers in the area.
Beef bread toast one is fresh and tasted great. Coffee and dessert are nice as well.Food: 5/5
Great service and ambience. The pastries and toasties were very tasty. Good work!!
Had a sort of brioche which TBH did not taste like today’s… place looks a bit tired. Sitting out front not great idea… next table smoking… ok for a takeaway perhaps… but I wouldn’t go out of my way
