The Rum Diary Bar

Decided to pop in partly due the live music but also the place had a nice, dimly lit interior with booths... And also for the rum. Although all the booths were taken we still managed to find a seat at the back which was still nice with candles on each table adding to the atmosphere. Although you could look up the menu via a QR code on the table you still needed to go up to the bar to order. If you are ordering one of the cocktails it would have been nice to have had a picture...I say this as my wife's "Rumball in the jungle" looked good on paper but the end drink had almost a Rubik's cube sized ice cube shoehorned into a whiskey Glass and then stamped with a logo...with the tasty ingredients almost secondary... Two shots of the mixture that fits in around the I've cube.... Was the ice cube the highlight? My wife would have preferred more actual drink for the price but hey, we are old fashioned. Anyhow, nice venue to hang out especially with live music.

A bit ok and not ok for the fine cocktail drinkers, I have been blown away not so near for the same fizzzzzz, they are cool, environment is superb, but not high class, and it’s fine… but a bit on the rough… can be cool, in certain situations…lol, guys are cool but cocktails not so… Service ok

I visited here on my trip to Melbourne from Tassie. The vibe is great, the staff were fun, the cocktails were tasty and the music was great. I highly recommend it

Visited this bar over the Weekend, great vibe, live music on point but the stand out in this place was the staff. Very friendly and uber efficient. Other places should come here just to see how staff should perform. A1. Will be back again

The Great Wall of Rum, towers before you. Amazing collection of Rums from around the world. Great ambience.

Staff and drinks are excellent, upstairs wasn't open so smokers are next to the toilets or outfront.
