A big ‘Shout out’ to Maureen for outstanding customer service early Tuesday morning when the Super Gold card went offline on 5x points day. Another supermarket,like all the others I've been to.nPrices on most things are out there and no sign of anything changing except getting dearer.nMaybe price gouging is more acceptable these days or maybe politicians are overpaid and can afford to pay through the nose and couldn't care less.nThere,that's my rant for the day, cheers
Rating based entirely on bike parking:nnThis Countdown has five “lollipop” style bike racks can fit up to ten bikes. This style is good for securing your bike to. There’s a generous amount of space around the racks, which is good for larger cargo bikes.nnThe racks are right next to the front entrance, which is convenient, and good for security.nnOnly downside is that they kind of look like trolley bays, so sometimes people put shopping trolleys into them. More signage could help with this.
I've been shopping with my escooter for 3 years at this supermarket. I put the basket on the deck of the scooter, it takes up less room than a shopping cart. I've done this at many supermarkets, never been stopped. Today an officious staff member refused me entry. Will be bringing this up with the manager.
It was a stinking hot as day... then we walked into Countdown Petone and my prayers were answered hallelujah!!!! The store was air conditioned, bliss!!!nMade my shopping way more enjoyable, got some great specials too.nThanks soooo much
