Woolworths Petone

Shop here regularly, but have noticed the vegan options are getting less and when they do stock them, they massively under order, so they sell out quickly. The Lower Hutt branch obviously has a better buyer, as there is more availability down there.nAs you walk into the store now, you are overwhelmed with the stench of burnt and frying beef from the new burger place...very disgusting. Also you are constantly bugged by charity's and people wanting money as you go in. They should be told to wait until you walk out, not walk into the store before asking you.

Spacious & clean Woolworths store with wide aisles & open areas. Plenty of good quality, fresh produce & a bakery. Staff member at self checkout was not too helpful when I needed assistance. Other than that, it's not a bad shopping experience

We shop at Petone woolworths reguarly however this sunday while shopping struck a young woman on the delicatessan counter who was completely out of her depth. We were purchasing luncheon. She had no idea what it was and after she eventually found it we asked for 500 grams and she took slices of 3 stacks and eventually go to 400g, which we took.nI would have thought she would have been fully trained before serving customers, which obviously she had not been.nExtremly poor service!!!

Rating based entirely on bike parking:nnThis Countdown has five “lollipop” style bike racks can fit up to ten bikes. This style is good for securing your bike to. There’s a generous amount of space around the racks, which is good for larger cargo bikes.nnThe racks are right next to the front entrance, which is convenient, and good for security.nnOnly downside is that they kind of look like trolley bays, so sometimes people put shopping trolleys into them. More signage could help with this.
