Weta Workshop

It was the best tour in Wellington.nThe tour guide knew what he's doing and professional. He kindly explained everything that we would love to know, and it was more than enough!nTheir sculpture and all arts are incredible. I could see even children were so concentrated in every section.nNo regret for sure!

Great tour, with a world of knowledge combined in so many people from weaponry to Hobbit feet. The ability to see how the masks are made and fitted. All the staff were more than friendly, they were very accommodating, and meeting the man who made my sword for mediaeval reenactment, which he made for me back before he started working on the Lord of the Rings series, around the year 2000.

A really cool, very entertaining kiwi experience, a must do, especially if you're a rings fan but there is a lot of other cool stuff here from a TON of other films as well. I was a bit disappointed we didn't get to see more, and no photographs of branded items are allowed. I thought they could have used replicas to create more dress up and photos opportunities.

Amazing experience. If you are questioning it based on the pretty penny, it's worth it! It's so cool to see the props in real life! Photos inside are prohibited, so you can only see these things inside the workshop or the movies in which they were made famous!

It was a fantastic experience, highly recommended and will def go again! Good for kids and adults, although I think the adults will def get the best out of it! Love how interactive it was and getting to see in person some props!
