This cable car takes you from the centre of the city to the entrance to the Botanical gardens among other places. It's an easy and beautiful walk downhill through the gardens back to the city centre. The ride is comfortable and the views are spectacular! I recommend this cable car ride to any visitor to Wellington!
It is a must-visit attraction if you are in Wellington. If you go to the top, you can see the view of the city at a glance and the sea is so pretty. It's a good place to heal your mind. When you get off at the top, you can see downtown Wellington at a glance, and when you walk down, you can see Botanic Garden with various flowers. The best dinner gift for my family, who bought a round-trip ticket but didn't have time. If you have time, it would be nice to buy it one way when you go up and take a slow look.nnFamily return ticket- $28

Good little tourist activity you should do at least once. Fairly short ride but the cable cars are clean and frequent. $12 return per adult so a bit pricey for what it is but they definitely invest the funds back into the cable cars and premises as their condition is excellent.nnFor me the Botanical Gardens at the top of the cable cars is the highlight. Lovely view of the city and fantastic walk through the gardens await :D
What a great little journey up the mountain to the botanic gardens, This cable car is very cute and goes through two tunnels which are currently lit up with an led light show. The view from the top is extraordinary. Well worth the cost. The walk down through the gardens is lovely.
