Amazing and truly 360 views of the Windy Wellington city. The drive up here is extremely steep and on narrow roads. Only cars in good condition should be driven up here. The great part is you can also ride up here on public transport as it’s on a bus route. There is parking at two spots for almost 20 vehicles at a time including accessible parking. There are some 100 steps to reach the top viewing deck. There are three information boards on the three viewing sides on the top. It gets more windy at the deck. Views are totally 360 and well worth the drive and walk up to this spot. Must be a part of your itinerary while visiting Wellington.
We drove up the windy road uphill to the peak and the drive was definitely worth it as what greeted us was the most beautiful 360 degree view from the top of mountain of Wellington. We could even see the planes taking off from the runway of the airport. Highly recommended and your Wellington trip would not have been complete without going up there!
A short half hour or so walk from oriental bay to get to the top. The views were great from to top as you could see the whole city. You could spot planes landing and taking off. You can also drive up to the top.
Beautiful walk up Mt. Victoria! The walk was not too difficult and can choose different paths to take to the top. There are some scenes where Lord of the Rings was filmed to visit.nIt is quite windy at the top, just to be aware. Definitely a must-do when in Wellington!
It can be reached via an easy 30-minute hike or by car. The view is really cool and beautiful. There is a high chance of seeing a rainbow after the rain stops
