What a great spot to take tourists as we were. Of course it was windy but quite ok to handle. Many photos were able to be taken of the surrounding suburbs and city. It was a lovely day.
Must visit place. You can see the entire Wellington from 196m above from the sea level. Picturesque city and the sea view from the top. Could be nice if you take the trails and walk all the way up. Spend some time once you are up, enjoy the beauty by sitting the rock in there.
This was an invigorating experience and highly recommended as a morning activity if the weather is good and you have a fairly good level of fitness. The track from the city to the top of the mountain takes you past some classic houses and then through some lovely forest, but the going is pretty steep and quite the effort. But once up the top the view is amazing. It was an unusually still morning and the panorama crystal clear. You can also drive to the top and there is ample parking.
You need to go here to see the beautiful city of Wellington from the highest point. You can see the whole bay. There are many parking lots until you get to the top. There is also a water fountain at the top.
This place holds so many memories for my partner and me from June 13, 2024. We arrived near sunset, taking an Uber from the city centre under a partly cloudy sky.nnThe views of Wellington were absolutely stunning, far surpassing any photos I took.nnThis is a must-visit spot when exploring this beautiful city.
