I got recommended the chips here and they did not disappoint. I came at a good time because the chips were fresh from the fryer possibly because of the morning school rush. They top the container up halfway then put the magical seasoning on and then put more chips on and even more of the seasoning - pure bliss. I felt bad for ordering just chips but the person in front of me did the same so it made me feel better.

SPENT OVER $40 HERE! BEST CHICKEN AND SEASONED CHIPS! Freshly cooked right in front of you and the service is amazing! Literally 5 STAR for this bakery! Prices are affordable $3.50 for the pies and amazing quiches! There are food choices for $1.20! Love, love, love this bakery! Highly recommend!

The steak and cheese pie had more gravy and less steak. Avondale Home Bakery steak and cheese are bang for the buck with more steak and has pepper notes which makes it flavourful. I would go for their Apple turnover with cream $2.5 as cream is not too sweet goes well with the pie.

The Bakery Staff are really friendly and always smiling. Their food is awesome too. Well known for their green chips and hands down best savouries in Auckland.

Decent pie, woulda given them a 3 for the pies but the chips are 12/10 so have a 4/5

Tried all the other chicken and chips in avondale and this is by far the best ! the chips are amazing and that damn salt WOOOW ! Chicken is always juicy and perfectly cooked ! Definitely recommend !

The best chips in Avondale, and they’re a great price too! Very friendly staff, and they get all the orders out quickly even when they’re very busy after school.

First time here & the mince & cheese pie & quiche was very nice & super tasty, will definitely be returning back soon.
