First-time mum here! We stayed here on the 17th and 18th of March 2025 after giving birth at NSH, and the experience has been wonderful. The environment is warm and homely, making it the perfect place to cherish those precious first moments with your little one. The rural setting adds to the sense of calm and relaxation. Both nights were great, the meals were delicious, and the staff were incredibly attentive. They were always kind, supportive, and went above and beyond to help with my concerns and pain, ensuring I received the best care. I highly recommend staying here.nnLorena & Augustin and Viviane
Weeks later and I am still raving to others about our experience here. Went in with near zero expectations as we were 1st-time parents. Left 3 nights later... not realising till much later, that during our stay- we were trained to be routined to a high degree baby and us; received much-needed support esp with breastfeeding tips which was made more tedious with a bad tailbone; we became well-rehearsed with a good basic set-up we could replicate at home; we understood the importance of having alone time to practice, short supportive touchpoints, and minimal visitors; as well as we learnt various approaches from the best group of midwives for postpartum care. Everyone we met were super hands-on, genuine, patient and caring in spite of the occasional chaos. The people looking after the facilities were on top of it with cleaning and supplies, and food was great too! Tricky with no soundproofing, but the cries of other babies were relatively muffled. Would definitely try to get a place with them again if another birth occurs. Special shout-out to: Danielle, Jasmine, Craegen and the team!
My partner and I recently became first-time parents and were fortunate to welcome our baby boy at WBC. Our preference was a natural birth in a home-like environment, and the birthing centre was everything we had hoped for.nnAfter the birth, it was wonderful to move just down the hallway to our private room for postnatal care, where we felt truly cared for. A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible WBC staff and midwives who supported us throughout our stay, providing not only comfort but also invaluable knowledge and delicious meals. The breastfeeding support we received was truly a game-changer, and the guidance from the WBC team in those crucial first days was something we will always be grateful for.
Most incredible place to go after giving birth. You’ll be well fed & cared for. We had the most excellent level of support from all the midwives and thoroughly enjoyed our stay - really helped set us up well with baby from the start.
