Don't be fooled by the name of the restaurant. It is Chinese food. Vietnamese Pho noodles never come with grilled pork. Combination rice never comes with a shrimp!! if you are looking for a place to fill your stomach, go ahead. if you are looking for Vietnamese food, definitely it is a big NO.
Fantastic food!! Really delicious Pho and rolls with generous portions and great service. The spring rolls are SO meaty and the summer rolls are huge and juicy! The meat is succulent in the soups, there are plenty of condiments and extras and it is just a perfect place for a BIG FEED for a great price. The atmosphere is unpleasant though, and so is the location. It’s very ‘cafeteria’, everything is cheap and plastic in a big room with fluorescent lighting so awful so it’s far from comfortable - still if you want proper portions of great food at a good price it can’t be beat!
Went for early lunch today with my parents and aunty. I got so furious about the foods we got served. It was disgusting and when I complaint, the waiter was rather angry at me. Fighting back saying that is how they serve rice noodles now. Me and my family all got the same menu, and all the noodles got served short. I have never served noodles like that which I had to eat them with a spoon.... it was almost i was eating porridge ... and all the noodles soak up the soup there was nothing to eat later. I got disgusted hardly eat any. I should've returned my dish to start with.. I observed other people's dish ... it was totally different to our dishes. Since we had to forced to eat our lunch, i paid ... however i complaint again about the services and the food, in a hope that they would understand what I was complaining about. We had been a good customers for years but it was very disappointing . All wanted to say was it is not about money. The foods i got served was a bunch rubbish. However the stuff members didn't even blink about my complaint and laughed about it. So much disappointment
Back again to our favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Auckland the “Vietnam Cafe located at 38 Atkinson Avenue, Otahuhu, Auckland 1062 New Zealand.” This restaurant never fails to disappoint. A young gentleman promptly gave us a table & served us as soon as we walked in. We ordered a prawn rice noodle soup for hubby, my usual rice noodle beef ball soup, our hot served spring rolls 2 serves & 2 x pineapple smoothies! Deliciously cooked and my husband’s favourite rice noodle broth. Staff are always polite & kind to everyone who walks into their restaurant. Highly recommended. I’ll be back here with more family on my next visit to New Zealand.
Nice breakfast, photo doesn't do it justice but dam the wonton soup from here is always the best!
