We were visiting from South Australia and wanted to try the best fish & chips in New Zealand. This place was definitely on the money. Nice and crispy with just the right amount of salt and garnish. The owner was a lovely person and the shop was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. I now have a huge challenge to find the equivalent in Adelaide.

Fresh and generous portions of fish. Perfectly thin and crunchy batter.nSo good we ordered a second round.

One of the best fish and chips we ever had in Canterbury region.nTried the normal fish and chips and it was amazing. Tasty, crispy and delicious. We even got a slice of lemon to add some flavour. There is ample car parking space outside the shop.nnWill be back soon to try out other options in the menu.

It was one of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. The fish was perfectly cooked, not too oily and perfect balance of salt. Even after a few minutes, it didn’t go soggy. The best part is, they give some wedges of lemon. Definitely worth a visit. Love it!!!!

The wedges were well cooked than it was all down hill from there. The crumbed fish was hard and over cooked and the paua fritters were burnt. Not a pleasant eating experience
