Heard of this place through fish and chip reviewer “1 fish 1 scoop” and very thankful we found this gem. AMAZING restaurant quality burgers, fish and chips cooked to perfection with great flavour! Modestly priced too. We are never going anywhere else other than this establishment. Family run with friendly service too! Top marks from my wife and I. VERY IMPRESSED. Will be telling my family to come here. Keep up the fantastic job of making people happy with good quality passionate food. Will be back, SOON!
Updating the review. What was the best is now only averge at best. Overcooked fish and sausages, under cooked chips.n****************nThe best chip shop we have found in Christchurch so far. The chips are perfectly cooked. The batter is light and crisp, and the bluecod is a reasonable portion and not sliced into thin portions like so many chip shops here.nThe oil seems fresh.nWe have had so many bad chip shops we travelled about 15 minutes to go here, and it was worth it.
THE BEST BURGER IN CHCH!!Maybe Selwyn? I can't believe you can get this quality of burger for $8. My family is having this burger at least once a weeknYummy patty, amazing sauce, and milky bun. So so so good!!!
My family and I love the mussels here. Really good size, batter just nice and crunchy without being soggy. The mahy burger is great too - this is one of my favourites Reminds me of American smash burgers.
It really was the worst fish n chips ever, both fish and chips were under cooked, so they were soaked with oil, once you touch them your hands covered with oil. Chips looked soggy, cutted unevenly, every single chip was cooked in different color which was impossible to do, the texture was like they were never been fried but just lightly dipped in hot oil, and they just taste like oil, no crunch at all. And the fish, one side was puffed up and the other side was flat which was again impossible to do, so they are most likely precooked and frozen, and supper oily, and it was firm and dry. I really don't understand how 1F1S gave it such high score, so disappointed!
