Rooms were old, dirty and noisy. The couch was disgusting. Curtains torn. No airconditioning. The pillows had seen better days in 2018xnSurprisingly the linen was very clean and new.nShower was dirty and had to be cleaned. Bathroom smelt like urinal.nSuper noisy from other patrons and traffic.nnThe area is beautiful and the coffee place next door great. Avoided the restaurant based on the hotel rooms.nWouldn’t recommend
We stopped here to break up our drive to Auckland with our 2 Griffons. Rooms have been recently redecorated, fresh paint and new carpet. Bedding and linen nice and clean. The Tongariro River is accessible which our dogs loved! Lots of green space for them to stretch their legs. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. It has everything you need, including a restaurant on site. We recommend this place and will be returning.
Room decent & clean once we were assigned the correct room. Staff tried to put us in a room already occupied. Luckily the people were there, and told us to check with the front desk. WHAT if they were not in their room, and we were able to walk in to find their belongings????nRestaurant - good food & service BUT in room information booklet states to book for breakfast go to the office before 8:30pm.nAt the restaurant we were informed the motel no longer does breakfast for their guests BUT Is feeding a tour group .nWe have stayed here before & the new owners are clearly not interested in looking after their guests.nCouch in room is disgusting- dirty & old.nWILL NOT BE BACK . So glad we booked in Taupo for our return trip.
Service great. Had dinner at restaurant. Food was nice. However, pillows and bedding didn't smell fresh, no face cloths in the bathroom, net curtains covered in mould. No hot water in the morning for a shower. Won't be back.
Hot water went out twice during our stay so no one was able to have a hot shower in the morning or evening. Communication from staff was very poor regarding the issue.nnCarpets and couch in the room were stained and light shades looked like they had never been cleaned.
