I have so much to say about how great this motel is where do start. I was expecting to arrive at 6pm. Reception texted me to say the reception would close soon. As my arrival was more like 8pm they said they will leave the key in the box and if I would like a dinner please let them know and we will cook one for you when you arrive as the restaurant will be closed. How’s that for incredible service! considering I have never stayed before. By the time I arrived at 8:30 they text to say my meal has been cooked come over to the restaurant to have it there.nThe room was great they had left the heat pump on for my arrival which was very thoughtful after being out all day in a wet cold day. It was very very clean and tidy.nThank you to the team at Parklands Motor Lodge what an awesome experience of fantastic service.nRegardsnSteve B
Location was good. Our stay was ok, untill noisy neighbours arrived on the second night. Walls to thin. Room had spiders and ants, someone's old socks and Panadol packet left in draws. Spa not working the whole long weekend, left a day early. Might be better to stay in Taupo next trip south.
Parklands Motor Lodge is a great place to stay — clean, cozy, and very well maintained. The rooms come with spotless bathrooms, a small kitchen, and all the basic cutlery you need. The on-site restaurant serves good food, and there’s plenty of parking space available. The location is excellent, just a 2-minute drive from the city center. Highly recommended for a comfortable and convenient stay.
This is a lovely venue with multiple budget options. Older interiors but timeless with a wood finish. Clean warm beds, and very clean bathrooms. Efficient quiet heat pumps. Great kids play area in easy view of many of the units. Relaxed but efficient and friendly service. Just off the main highway but somehow you hear very little traffic noise.
Really welcoming staff member, helpful and friendly woman.nLocation is nice, well situated for convenience, cross state highway 1 for shops and fuel etc.nThe only bit for me was the bathroom, no extractor vent, only a very little window to air it out, it was pretty cold.nWhen I woke up the windows were dripping in condensation.
