Very bad experience of food of this restaurant lot of oil leaking from the box of curries and complimentary rice is bit half box of portion. Will not recommend to other to have this food

Read some good reviews so pretty disappointed to get home with our meal and discover a few less than ideal dishes. The rice was only 3/4 full - not enough for 2 adults, the curry was “Indian hot” despite us ordering medium, and the salad which was described as onion, tomato and cucumber, was only a few slices of raw onion. I wonder if your reputation has got the better of you and you’ve just stopped trying?
Went for dinner Sunday with my girlfriend . Food was great but didn't had good experience as I had expected. I was still eating my food and the guy who was in the counter came to me and asked if he can clear my table while I was still eating which really piss me off. And even didn't apologize for his mistake.
I take my 94 year old mother to eat lunch here often. Their prices are reasonable and it compares favourably with other Indian restaurants around Wellington. So if you are in Johnsonville looking for somewhere to have lunch, try Tulsi.
My god, I used to love their butter chicken curry for lunch when it used to be at Willis Street, their naan bread was also incredible but this Johnsonville restaurant is a COMPLETELY different experience. The 'award winning' butter chicken sauce tastes exactly the same as that tomato sauce you get in tinned spaghetti wouldn't be surprised if it was and their naan almost tastes microwaved, I actually had to throw away the chicken tikka slices as well they were green by the way, no idea why. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was with my food and would easily call that the worst curry I've ever had. I'll probably never step foot in Tulsi ever again.
STALE FOOD ALERT! Ordered a couple mains and an entrée, all dishes with chicken had stale and dry pieces of chicken breast. Even my 4 year old son could make out the difference. Taste was mediocre and nowhere close to authentic Indian food. Skip this place and try somewhere else.
It's ideal to have our party in Tulsi Johnsonville. I like the ambience and the service is extraordinary. The Staff is exceptionally great They left no one unattended. The food was sumptuous and chef Pardeep gave us an outstanding readiness of food, regardless of high pressure. This is definitely not a coincidental, we have been throwing the parties in the same venue for a while, and never let ourselves down. Higher rank staff like Meenakshi's, and Vikram hospitality is incomparable and splendid.
Food is excellent, can't fault it. The problem is the restaurant staff - I have been to Tulsi Johnsonville three times for dinner and won't be returning. All throughout the meal, the staff stared at my friend and I and took the empty plates away as soon as we had finished eating. This happened on all three visits. It was very off putting. No wonder the restaurant was practically empty every time we went. Another friend said the staff have a staring problem and that she won't be going back.
