Misleading business name - should be CURRY HELL - Worst Indian restaurant in New Zealand. Burnt tastless roti and Naan. Lamb biryani tasted like pudding with tomato sauce and the lamb was very dry microwaved rice and lamb. They use cheap quality rice and they call it basmati rice but it is not. Complained to the lady owner and she brought the bag of rice to show us that it is basmati rice. She said maybe rice overcooked it's not my problem. Overpriced menu for this horrible quality and quantity. Honestly I have probably eaten Indian curry and food at over 100 restaurants all over NZ but this was the WORST. Honest feedback. The owner needs to learn how to run a business and not just ripping off people. The roti was precooked and my mate even didn't finish it. Shut down this business ma'am or get someone else to run it

This might look like a tiny restaurant, but it has the most fabulous food and great atmosphere. We love it here. Their specialty curries are absolutely delicious. The gorgeous lady in charge is always charming and helpful. Support this business - it's part of the heart of Newtown and contributes to the vibrancy of this dynamic part of town. We make the 1 hour trip from where we live across town to this restaurant, and then shop at the second hand bookstores and buy vegetables at cheapest greengrocer in Wellington. Curry Heaven is simply the best! Parking: At present, you can park outside.

May I share that I have, special occasion and randomly been eating from Curry Heaven for many years. I have always enjoyed the tastes of this place. Ambient, friendly, beyond local Newtown, and so deliciously enjoyable food. May I please ask that you come and enjoy to, like I have. Peace.

Love this place! The food is always amazing. Great vegan and vegetarian options. The staff are lovely and you can tell they care a lot about their food. Highly recommend the Cheese Garlic Naan - one of the best around and big enough for two people. Vegetarian options: Good range of delicious vegetarian appetisers and mains. The paneer is really good Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options

I Went here for lunch last week while I was on holiday and had maybe the best restaurant experience of my life. Curry Haven living up to its name. When I arrived with my friends it was already quite busy however this did not stop the staff from providing amazing customer service. Immediately we felt well looked after and at home. We brought 3 different curries along with the tandoori chicken wings. Flavours were beautiful, nutty warm and spiced to perfection ! Me and the girls were actually screaming with excitement at the table because we could not believe how good our meals were. Wellington is a hard place to find authentic delicious well priced food but I can safety say that Curry Haven Ticks all those boxes. I cannot wait to return and I hope that many more make the journey over to visit this culinary gem ! :

Me and my partner went for dinner a few days ago, and this is my absolute favourite spot. Not only is the food impecable and you can tell they care about it, it's a small venue and the staff were friendly and accommodating we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in! The recommendations were perfect and we will definitely be back :

I went here with my sister for her birthday and it was so good! The food was amazing and truly made my belly happy. The staff were so kind and welcoming! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, I recommend the palak paneer Dietary restrictions: Menu was super broad and easy to figure out what suited my needs.

Yummy food. Took the kids between sports activities and we all loved the food. Kids had butter chicken and we had palak paneer and lamb Rogan Josh. Also had delicious garlic Naan breads. Its a little place. The staff are lovely and rembered us from the last time. They got us feed quickly so we could get on to the next sporting activitie with full happy bellies. Thanks and we will be back
