Great views of Lyall Bay and lovely piece of Wellington history. Nothing nearly as large or elaborate as the botanical gardens but it’s well maintained and cared for. The house is only available for tours via appointments or on a few special days a year. Would be a good place to take kids to watch the planes take off.

Awesome views, great walk

Beautiful quiet spot. Didnt see another soul anywhere near me whole time i was here. Definitely a hidden wellington gem. I walked through on the southern walkway hike google maps has it drawn wrong on their maps - follow pink markers. Gorgeous views from here overlooking welly airport. Drops one star as place feels a little unattended.
