I am updating my review.nnLet me first say.nI would totally recommend this company. And we love our garage. It's gorgeous!nnTotal Span owner Duncan came by our home personally to apologize for the issues we experienced. He took ownership of the situation, followed through on what he promised, and within 3 weeks our garage was completed and ready to use.nnI really appreciated the accountability, communication, and effort to make things right. While the process was frustrating at times, I do respect a company that steps up and resolves the issue properly in the end.nnI’m really not impressed with how the shed build has been handled so far. Communication has been minimal, and we’ve largely been left in the dark.nnI understand weather can cause delays, but we’ve had plenty of good weather since the concrete was laid over 5 weeks ago. Even when the slab was scored, that was done in the rain, so it’s hard to see weather as the sole reason for the lack of progress.nnMore than anything, the lack of communication and updates has been disappointing. As a Project Manager, I place a high value on keeping my clients informed and projects moving forward, and that hasn’t been the experience here. We should be kept updated on what’s happening and when.
Thank you to Duncan and Carolyn and the team, despite winter weather, hiccups and staff sickness build has come through with excellent results.nNot just a shed a well finished cosy shell to be made into a home with compliant and consented exterior and window/ door fixtures.nCarolyn is on point with planning for Ll2 habitable shed and top at communication. Duncan has awesome knowledge of the process and of course as per any build there are minor issues which Duncan deals with honestly and with integrity.nI believe Totalspan Kerikeri is a great option for a stylish habitable shed house on any site and a good option for economical housing.nThe only reason for a star missing is they are popular and busy, slows them down….need more ground team to keep the timelines…so any top roofers/ builders out there?nAnd I recommend Flaxpod as a colour steel choice.
Extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with Total Span Steel Buildings.nnI contacted them for an urgent quote, and after they came out to measure, I was left waiting over three weeks with no follow-up — despite multiple phone calls and reminders. When the quote finally arrived, it was absurdly overpriced, almost double what other companies had quoted for the exact same job.nnThe most shocking part was the behaviour of the owner, Duncan. After I expressed my decision not to move forward due to the delays and inflated pricing, he became aggressive and actually swore at me over the phone — completely unprofessional and unacceptable.nnIf you’re looking for reliability, fair pricing, and basic respect as a customer, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. This was a frustrating and unpleasant experience from start to finish.
Carolyn and Duncan. Have been absolutely, nothing short of amazing. We have been difficult clients, as in regards to our site. With several obstacles, and road blocks. Was definitely challenging, on several occasions. Carolyn and Duncan, helped us. And guided us all the way. To get us out the other side. We highly recommend them, without any hesitation. The team at the Kerikeri branch are awesome, especially Carolyn. Purchased my double car port for a relocatable project that got delayed more than a year and Totalspan Kerikeri just held my completed order in storage until I was ready to take delivery. I highly recommend working with them for your next project. A+ for serviceand really great products too.
