We arrived in our motor home pretty late around 8pm in winter but were still greeted by a gentleman at the reception who explained to us everything we needed to know for a comfortable stay. Fuss free check in, it was off peak season so plenty of spaces to park in. Very clean and neat holiday park. Showers and toilets were good and clean. Definitely recommend staying here if heading up north!
We stayed for one night on a powered site. 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs $45. The owner was so helpful and kind. There are 2 new toilets & 2 hot, free showers. The powered sites are all on gravel and relatively level. They’re not very wide but long enough. There are 2 grassy patches either side for wandering. The camp was quiet, the main road wasn’t but couldn’t hear it at night. There is no kitchen but is an outdoor wash up area and a dump place - although a bit different to the standard ones & you see your poo The only thing I’d love to have would be a little play area for kids. Thanks for the stay!
May24. We stopped off in our hired motorhome on our way north. No booking but welcomed by a friendly gent.nThe pitch was level on gravel and close to the toilets and showers.nGood value for the money. The only downer was one of the two showers seemed out of commission.nCertainly recommend this park.
Great, friendly campground with both powered and non powered campsites. From $40 per night, with free wifi, it's definitely one of the better valued campgrounds in the Bay of Islands that we have found. Free clean showers and toilets. There are no cooking facilities but there is a sink for doing the dishes so make sure you bring something to cook on. Well situated just out of Kerikeri which makes Wagon Wheel a great base to explore Kerikeri, Paihia, Russell and other areas. Thanks Maurice and Joy, looking forward to staying again
This is a top notch place to stay. Been here with a camper van. WiFi is great, owners are helpful and super friendly, and the spot is remarkable clean - everything!nWarm showers, dishwashing area no kitchen and everything really nicely done! Will stay again!
