This place is wonderful at first glance but on a few return visits I’ve realised that only the lower quality stuff that doesn’t sell gets left here.. the centre rails are more expensive that the likes of curb vintage or ferrymead.. I’ve gotten a few items here but paid over 52nzd for a Mac pac puffa and 39nzd for shorts/rugby top and bicycle shirts that now I realise are fake, cheap adidas..nnWorth stopping in if looking for something like sheets or duvets or specific bits! But I recommend thinking deeply before purchasing!nnNo cash!
First time coming to Toffs , we’re from the top of the South Island so thought we’d check it out . We had an amazing experience at Toffs it was super busy Ashleigh & Daisy on the checkout were absolutely lovely we got some great deals today .
Absolutely love this place, I always find something everytime I go. Usually when 2nd hand store shopping I don’t find things in my size 6 but I never have troubles finding my size here. They have a good selection of female & male clothes.
Great warehouse full of all kinds of clothes. The $2 racks are a real mixed bag but for just getting some clothes you can't really go wrong. Just make sure to check for any damage as the pieces are not always going to be completely intact completely fair for the prices of some bitsnnThe more expensive rails in the centre can have some hidden gems but it really is a bit of a lucky dip as you never know what's going to be in there with the stock constantly changing. Fairly regularly there is a large queue for the checkouts however the staff in there are very speedy at their job it's just down to the popularity at times of the shop.nnYou might find some unique pieces on the wall behind the counter but these are generally at a much higher cost so take care when looking at these pieces.
Toff's is great, I had several people recommend it when we moved to Christchurch. Go in with plenty of time to spend, and be willing to go around a few times. They don't have baskets so you need to organise yourself as it can be hard to hold everything. I think this place is a gem, a homage to second-hand shopping from a by-gone era. It get's cold in winter so it's a good idea to wear a hat at least. The staff has bene lovely so far, but they can be abrupt, it gets really busy so they need to focus. Even if you go once and decide it's not for you, it's totally worth it.
