A dedicated outdoor shop with a wide range of products in different brands. Shout out to Isabella who has gone above and beyond in helping me find the right gear, fit the gear, and share her knowledge and passion for tramping in New Zealand. She is very knowledgeable about the products and has made recommendations based on my needs. 10/10 customer service. I have learnt so much about tramping in the right gear in South Island as someone who lives in the tropics of Australia. Would definitely come back again!
We had such a great experience at Bivouac on Saturday afternoon. We’re relatively new to hunting and have recently picked it up as a hobby, so we’re currently in the process of figuring out what gear we actually need — and we had an incredibly helpful staff member I think his name was Tiaan talk us through everything.nnHe was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and genuinely interested in helping us find the right gear rather than just selling us something. He helped us work through different options for boots and packs, and even loaded the packs with weights so we could properly test how they felt and figure out what was most comfortable for us.nnAs people who are still learning, having someone take the time to explain things properly and help us make informed decisions made a huge difference. We walked away feeling much more confident about what we need for our upcoming hunting trips.nnReally impressed with the service and would absolutely recommend Bivouac to anyone looking for outdoor gear, especially if you’re new to something and need a bit of expert guidance. Huge thanks to the guy who helped us — sorry if I’ve got your name wrong!
Chris is honestly the best person to talk to when it comes to rock climbing shoes. He sold me a pair of Scarpa Dragos and he was able to answer all of my difficult technical questions. Highly recommend!
I don't know what the last reviewer is on about. He must have been having a bad day. Because, every time I have been into the Bivouac Outdoor Christchurch store. The staff have been super helpful and friendly. The staff know their products and super helpful when it came to helping me buy my Aeroe Spider Rack Cradle. Do not let the last review from Vojtech Plesak affect your experience of the store and their staff.
The staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. The item I wanted wasn't available online, but they helped me find an even better option, which ended up being more affordable too. Epic service. 11/10
