Toby’s Seafood

Had high hopes and had been feeling like this as we normally get fish and chips here. Bad experience so disappointed with our meals the snapper didn't taste fresh, frozen I'd say ugh the battered mussels tasted and smelled foul/bad/off. I'm put off

07/02/23 around 19:30 $ dine-in Ordered a #4 meal this was well cooked fresh battered fish i ordered extra mussels so cheap for cooked mussels here. Purchased an Otai.. this is the yummiest thick Otai i have tasted but make sure you drink it on the day or day after cause it ferments fast. I have been to many Fish n Chips shops in Auckland but nothing bets Toby's.. i have tried G.I., Glen Eden, Manurewa & Massey and they all have the same warm feeling as Otahuhu. I still think this is the best & cheapest Fish n Chip shop in Auckland A Year ago.. This place will always be de best place to take de family/friends for fish n chips, warm welcoming customer service, free tomato sauce, great price for your budget & de quality of meals are devine

My first fish & and chips upon my arrival back home. They were yum, and so was the fish burger, fried bread, and raw fish.Food: 5/5

The batter they use is yuck, soggy and oily. They are expensive. Their mussels were rubbery because they were soaked in vinegar instead of the normal raw containers of mussels. The prices of their food does not match the quality. Toby's was great in the past but now it's just getting sloppy and fish isn't fresh either. Very disappointing. If you're looking for good fish and chips this is not the place to go please save your money. I definitely recommend the fish shop at mangere bridge next to the G.A.S petrol station, it's better the fish is always fresh and mussels are good

The best fish and chips shop I have ever been too and I'm not exaggerating. The food was fresh, not oily and reasonably priced. I would 100% recommend, I will be bringing other family and friends that haven't been already!Food: 5/5

My son ordered through Uber eats today $104 dollars wasted on your poorly drained food Food poorly Emailed them directly - never had this experience so must be a very lazy cook!!!!! Do better Toby’s. This order deserved no star!!!!

We got the Fish and bacon meals the fish was kawai being a fish shop this could have been fresh chips eggs and salad were good service was great and the atmosphere is a long waiting time with several people waiting took 40 mins to get our meal maybe we got them on a busy dayFood: 3/5

Great fresh food and awesome service especially the girl up front serving and quick to wipe down tables as the crowds came through. It was just cold but only cause it's the middle of winter as well

I love their fish and they have great specials only issue is it was too oily, I asked if they could let it sit longer because the last lot I got was drowning in oil and was told that it's the type of oil they use? Change the oil so I can come back.
