A lovely, well appointed place with excellent facilities to accommodate someone using a wheelchair
Little disappointed in room. Was expecting more from a apparent 5 Star motel. Fridge & air con noisy during night, bed very uncomfortable. Was in the wheelchair room, as have had major spinal surgeries 11 was hoping bed to be a little more comfortable. It's nice enough central Hamner close to pools, but not 5 Star, 3 -31/2 at best...
Don't get confused by the word 'luxury' or the requested price. Its still a motel though it is more comfortable than typical 2 star ones.nThey will never clean your room till you specifically and actively ask about it. In our case, we found out that the room was not clean at 5pm and all the staff gone by that time so the room was left untidy. They also refused to change the beddings as 'noone in NZ does it when guests stay for few nights.'
Beautifully furnished and cared for. We enjoyed the spa in the deluxe suite and had a second-story view over the snow-topped mountains. Great space, very quiet, perfectly situated. Staff all excellent and on site 9am-9pm. Don't forget to ask in advance for your complementary newspaper.
