Visiting from the UK and came here for drinks and a meal with our NZ family. Best chicken parmi I have ever had. Great selection of beers too and service was top class. Highly recommended. Can't comment on the rooms as didn't stay here.

Check-in was easy and the lady was really friendly. The rooms and all other facilities were clean, there was a heater and also a lot of blankets in the room in case it gets cold. And we really liked the outdoor area with tables and benches. Very good value for the money!

Friendly and helpful staff who remember who you are and what you drink or other personal needs. Easy to banter but just as quick to assess if you're just in for a quiet alone time.nnThe garden bar is warm and sunny oasis where sitting under the maple trees sipping a wine and chatting intimately with a friend about the ways of the world seems like you're caught in a slow motion time warp of ease.nnThey also serve Guinness!!

We have been four times for food and drinks. I can't speak about the rooms because we didn't stay there.nnFood is excellent and plenty of it. Service is great, friendly and relaxed, very welcoming!nnFor us, a chilled out place for food to relax and an excellent range of local beers, which rotate regularly.

I stayed at the backpackers here. Facilities are not up to the mark and the kitchen is too small and cutleries are missing. Not kept very clean. Lots of things could be improved if given proper attention.
