The Nelson Market

Loved this local market… picked up a delicious smoked salami, jam, smoked salts, multi grain sourdough and fresh seasonal vegetables to cook dinner for friends which they loved! Impressed with the array of locally designed toys, jewellery and craft. Long may this market stay alive!!!

Very nice market, bigger than I expected. We found 2 fully vegan stalls, a bakery delicious and one that sold vegan dumplings, burgers and vegan cheesecake. Pretty good as well. Some of the other food stalls had vegan options as well. We had the Māori fried bread and it was quite tasty.nLots of other interesting stalls, crafts, food, clothes and all sorts.

I had an absolute blast at the market this Saturday just passed. I bought a lot and would have bought more if I wasn’t flying home. Amazing apple selection at really cheap prices. Great artisan cheeses. Yummy breakfast options at reasonable prices. I even went home with some handcrafted items
