Best pie I have had in Auckland yet. Milkshakes very good as well, nice and thick. Breakfast menu just ok. Coffee not bitter like the rest of Ponsonby rd

If you love pies , you will love here. Aahh New Zealand ... Land of Pies. Something else the Kiwi does much better than their tinfoil cup, soggy pastry mates across the Tasman. The sign outside says it all, “Best Pies in Town”. Great pies, good coffee and yummy thick shakes. Wraps, focaccias, gourmet sandwiches. Convenient location, good seating, always a mag or the paper to read, really lovely staff and nice lax atmosphere. Vego, vegan, gluten free options available as well. All the normal pies with some fantastic original recipes. Chicken Mushroom Pesto, and also the jalapeño Huffer are two of my favourites. The good ole steak and mushroom pie is a hearty one too. We had breakfast at The Food Room today, and what an absolute treat that was. We were four people and were greeted by the most lovely elderly man who took our orders by memory, and although our orders orders came one by one, and got swapped around here and there, every plate was served in the most hospitable and amiable manner. Unfortunately, this was our last day in Auckland, otherwise, we would have had breakfast here every day.

The huffer pie is my favourite but they are all seriously good home made pies
