Vast variety of burgers in their menu. Fast service even on a busy night. Delicious burgers but a bit dry for me. Buns are delicious as well, perfectly cooked. Kumara fries are good and sweet. Will definitely come back and order the other burgers.

Terrible quality burgers. So overpriced and to then not put in tomato in both kids burgers and miss bacon from another burger. I called was told to email, did that and was offered a remake but we are from our of town. A refund would have made up for the overpriced underwhelming food we got. Salad was minimal priced on par with the likes of burgerfuel and was worse than a fish and chip shop burger. Don't waste your money unless you like bland food with no filling. Picture of kids burger after they complained it was cold and had no tomato. And they reply says it all attitude is just to make money and who cares about if people are happy. Most places would offer a full refund on an item that you have failed to provide up to an acceptable standard. The burger in the photo is not acceptable and to save money by omitting tomato just because the price per Kg is high is a terrible way to run a business.

I heard good things about this eatery from a friend. There are a few of these around Auckland but I chose to eat from the one in Northcote. Firstly, the gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and provided top service the whole time even as I decided to dine in this afternoon. I ordered the steak fold burger with chips and a can of sprite. The food did not take long to prepare and it was nice. The burger bun and contents were fresh and well prepared. The only feedback is regarding the quantity of fries I received for $6 which I was not impressed with. Overall, a nice take out joint on the north shore.

Have been frequenting this Northcote joint for a few years now. Quality has taken a serious nose dive since they expanded. Thought I'd give them one more go, was seriously insulted by the quantity and quality of the hand cut agria chips. $6.50 portion pictured.Burger was... Ok. Not at all like it used to be. Shame, won't be back.

Awesome food. Great service. The guy there was super friendly and gave me directions to a nice place park off and eat our meals. The burgers were well worth the price..Food: 5/5

We have frequented The Flaming Onion for some time now. The burgers are always hot, well seasoned and a good size. The chips are crunchy but they’re all so stubby! At $10.90 for a chicken burger, I feel this is slightly below the market pricing for a similar size burger. I haven’t tried any of the bigger burgers but they look really nice! Note, they charge for paywave here so keep that in mind.

I'd come here much more often if it weren't for two things. Firstly, I cannot deal with the type of bun they use here. It's embedded with some kind of herb and is always dry to me. I know this is a conscious choice and maybe some people love it, but I'd prefer a softer, moister bun. Secondly, the beef patties are frequently out of proportion with the bun and frequently dense/chewy. It's a shame because their range of burgers is excellent, and if they were built on a solid foundation of bun and patty it would be a great place to go. At least the curly fries are good.

Amazing burgers best I've had in so long well priced as well and owner is such a nice guy very friendly and goes the extra mile to make your experience good would go back 100%

Definitely not the best burger I’ve had in my life can’t remember which one I had but I’d definitely return to explore some of the other options on the menu. FYI: Their curly fries are freakin’ good!

Ordered a beef and cheese burger, bun was too thick, old, cold and dry …small patty, cheese wasn’t melted, took one bite and threw it away, not a nice burger …staff were friendly but guys you need to make much better burgers, won’t be returning
