I find the staff are kept very busy. I've been going here for almost 4 years now and of course they know me, so I just go in and sit down and wait. My doctor is great and explains everything well and gives good advice , so I don't mind reading a magazine for a while if they are running a bit behind. It's probably due to the extra time the friendly doctor takes with his patients, which I have never been charged for. I've just learned to make an early appointment :
Often takes a few phone calls to get through to an actual person.Very hard to get hold of the nurses for appointments and results - need more staffing. Clean and modern - More corporate type practise not personal. That said - our Dr is great and I can recommend him.
Shockingly understaffed - no appointments for weeks. Said they have a triage system but then told me that they couldn’t fit me in and I needed to go to accident and health because they thought I needed to be seen which is $80.
Very rude and condescending attitude over the phone from the nurse Michelle worst experience ever I asked to speak to the manager and was cut off . I have then phoned them again with the same thing happened.
Liam Tranter was our doctor in New Plymouth. So for anyone in the Welcome Bay area looking for a doctor I highly recommend him. Our 'new' doctor is yet to meet the standards that Liam had set and we would even consider moving to Welcome Bay or driving the four hours just for an appointment.
