An Ode to the Nurses of Tauranga HospitalnnI’ve been here for days, it feels like a year,nThis one-star resort serves lukewarm cheer.nThe beds ain’t comfy, the food’s hit or miss,nBut the nurses? My goodness, they’re absolute bliss!nnThey hustle, they bustle, they rush to and fro,nWith patience and kindness and caffeine in tow.nNever a grumble, a sigh, or a sneer,nJust jokes and warm smiles to brighten my drear.nnThey poke me with needles, they check all my stats,nThey laugh at my jokes even when they fall flat.nThey clean up the messes, they answer my calls,nThey catch me each time that I wobble or fall.nnOverworked? Oh, absolutely true!nUnderpaid? That’s a fact—we all know it too!nYet still, they show up and give it their all,nCaring for folks in each bed, room, and hall.nnSo hats off to you, dear nurses divine,nThe backbone of healthcare, the strongest of spines!nThough this stay was no holiday, that much is plain,nYou’ve made it a place I won’t dread to remain.nnThank you, thank you, a thousand times more,nYou’re angels in scrubs—I’m truly in awe!
Came here with a medical development that left me barely able to sit or lie down. Was seen within ten minutes, sent to the APU, and was being checked on by nurses constantly before I got sent to surgery. Extremely helpful staff, made sure I was comfortable and fully informed about what was happening every step of the way. A hospital stay is never pleasant but this was by far the easiest I've ever had to do, thank you so much to the staff, you are all amazing!
I just want to say a huge thank you Tauranga Hospital! You guys are amazing. Including the Ambulance staff who took me there! From the doctors and nurses in ED to the doctors, nurses and support staff in Ward 3 - I was taken care of, looked after, treated kindly, had everything explained to me. Thank you so much for looking after me when I was so ill. I could not have asked for better care!
I have the highest praise for the Cardiac team at Tauranga Hospital as well as the paramedics who attended to my husband. He was brought in with a heart attack and their quick response saved his life. The nurses and doctors who looked after him in CCU were absolutely amazing. Thank you for your dedication and care.
25/10/24 mail sent for appointment, received 06/11/24 for appointment on the 08/11/24, not acceptable. Then to be told hospital has no control over late mail. Suggestion to text appointment as a reminder text is sent day before Appointment. Why can't there be a text to tell you of an appointment pending. Phone staff says they don't do that. Please review timely appointment notifications as I for one need time to arrange with employer time off for appointment. Radiology Department as done this to me before.nDonna
