I have been to Tauranga Hospital several times and always been happy with the care I have received. But this last month I was diagnosed with uterus cancer and the female doctor I had was so negative about my prognosis, even before I had my petscan. I have been in agony this last month thinking I haven't long to go. The cancer nurse have been very supportive and helpful. I still don't know how serious this is, and for anybody who get a cancer diagnos would know, it's very scary. I had the same cancer many years ago, and it have come back. I didn't know that doctors could be so complete without empathy. Talking about palliative care, and scary operations without knowing how bad it is, is not verynprofessional. I just wish this doctor would think twice before giving a negative outcome without even knowing what's really going on.
Waiting in E.D really itchy and swollen puffy eyes and lips without seeing a doctor, watching everyone else get prioritised over me regardless of the fact most of them were seen before me . Worst hospital E.D treatment ever. Am so making a formal complaint because apparently an allergic reaction isn’t severe enough to be treated so left but when I’ve been to other hospitals I’ve been straight in .
my grandma is stays at this hospital and I was shocked at the lack of professionalism of the 2 young boys that were on floor 4 the times I’ve visited my grandma they would swear at each other even though there are elderly patients around and he’s was saying he had lost another patient’s file of something last time I was there and today he said he’s lost my grandmothers file. Very unreliable and unprofessional. They were also talking about how they are gonna both have sick leaves and go to the bar right in front of my family and the patients. I don’t think they have any idea that what they are doing is wrong. Very disturbing and very unprofessional just disappointed
I have just had shoulder surgery at Tauranga Hospital and I have to say the experience has been nothing but positive. The staff, from The Doctors down to the orderlies have been absolutely wonderful, cheerful, accommodating and empathetic.nEven the food has not been as bad as I expected it to be.nI am so happy that I had my surgery at this hospital. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you staff.
Thanks to Tauranga Hospital staff. I had great,effective and efficient service and care thank yoy to the nurses for being great, my surgeon and doctors and pain specialist have been wonderful and the coffee lady Sam who's so nice to eveyone along with phlebotomists for painless draws. The cleaning staff do a great job and manage to almost go unseen.
