"The Bicycle Thief is set in a picturesque area in Tai Tapu amongst quiet roads and beautiful fields. Our restaurant is the perfect place to have a quiet meal or to celebrate in style. Our venue is capable of hosting up to one hundred people.We cater for a variety of dietary requirements including gluten-free and vegan. We have two sister restaurants in New Zealand. One is Giovanni's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria on Te Ngae Road in Rotorua, and the other the little sister is Mamma Rosa Pizzeria on Pukaki Street in Rotorua. We serve the same divine pizzas in our sister restaurants.​Chef Deep makes his fresh handmade Dolly's pasta for collection every week. We host Locals' Night every Tuesday. Had a wonderful lunch with friends and family this afternoon. The food was superb. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. We are already planning our next visit. Highly recommended this restaurant for a relaxing superb experience. Thank you
Excellent restaurant, the food is great and there is a good selection of drinks. I enjoyed the gnocchi and the pizzas looked very good. The service was outstanding and the staff were very friendly. I'm certainly comming back and I can't believe I hadn't heard of this place before.
Used to be one of my favorite places. Was a little disappointed with my meal. The others in my party were very pleased with their meals. Maybe mine was just not up to usual std. A one off? Will go back and try again. Also dirty under our table which was unusal as well
We came for lunch on Sunday and had the most delicious pizza and cheesecake for dessert! This was followed with a glass or three of Bicycle Thief Ros`e!!!! Totally delicious, and the service given by Lucy and Molly was outstanding. Definitely worth the experience. Thank you Bicycle Thief.

Under new ownership but still the same brilliant feel as the previous owners. Still one of my favourite spots in Christchurch
