Story

Joe's Wigram is a friendly neighbourhood eatery in the heart of Wigram Skies in Christchurch.

We're open every day from 7 for breakfast and espresso, with the kitchen open right through lunch and 'til about 9 every night, serving up dinner and drinks.

Joe's is fully licensed and proudly pours Asahi on tap.

Most importantly, we keep it casual here and don't take bookings. Please just come on in and say hello. We'll get you seated as soon as we can and show you a great time.

Second review 16 January 2022 Went back to give Joe's another chance. Service was excellent. Chips and gravy were very nice. Also had crispy chicken, chicken burger, hot chocolate and ice chocolate. Over all the food was nice. The drinks are on the small side for the price. The meals are, a ok size for the price. Will we go back? Nice place for a bit of finger food and catch up with mate's. But I would go somewhere else for a meal. First review. First week of 2022. Talk about fast service. Stop in for some of their famous chips and gravy. The chips where out to the table very quickly unbelievably quickly. So quick we thought the chips must be for another table. They were only warm there must have been sitting around not freshly cooked. A little pot of gravy same size you get with a small order of chips. Very disappointing. Star is for the friendly service. Just to top it off the table next to us got served a nice big plate of hot chips as we were leaving.
Great atmosphere, very busy, friendly staff and beautiful food. Had the pork belly and was cooked perfectly, a tasty slaw on the side, mash potato and a tasty apple sauce, presented beautifully on the plate topped with crunchy pork crackling. A happy customer here
Good ambience and location. Especially for an upcoming Suburb at Wigram. We went for lunch. Quite busy and evident with servers quite rushed. We had joes fried chicken burger 22.5$ this came with chips - chicken was fried chicken Fried chicken / JFC 14$ and. A ginger beer 4.8$. Total bill 41.3$ Taste wise 3/5 . Value / quality of food 2/5. Burgerfuel’s burger or Reburger : r much better and better priced. Although I can totally understand the price given the place and service expenses

Outstanding service today! I went in for lunch today with my father who uses a wheelchair and has dementia, and the lady who served us could not have been more helpful I'm only sorry I didn't catch her name!. She was so patient and understanding with my Dad, tweaking the meal to suit my Dad's needs, and finding us a quiet spot in a sunny room out the back when the main restaurant became too noisy for him. The food was delicious and the rest of the team were lovely too. Taking my Dad out for a meal can be challenging, and I couldn't have felt more loved or supported on this occasion. Will definitely be back! Parking: Parking is very close by, with several close mobility parks available Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access via wheelchair from the car to the restaurant. Plenty of space to move about between tables and getting to the toilet.
Great Lunch today, had a member of our group who had allergy intolerances and staff were very responsive. The chef handled a minor mishap themselves and made us feel looked after above and beyond. Waitstaff were so friendly and kind. 5/5 thanks to all staff :D Raises all round
Fantastic food, fantastic service. Really can't express how great the service was. great hospitality team, thank you so much. Had the vege burger and glad it wasn't full of sweet chutney as some are. Mum had the rhubarb crumble, loved it! Also great oat flat white. Yum yum yum. Vegetarian options: Nice verge burger and a free other vegetarian options so didn't feel left out
Took our daughter out to Joe's for dinner. We had burgers and pizza and our meals were tasty and filling. The service was friendly and quick and it was a nice atmosphere.
Enjoyed this place. Good food, reasonable prices, good atmosphere. Only thing I would mention is you can't book a table.Food: 5/5
