The Beer Engine is hands-down one of the best places to grab a drink in Porirua. Awesome beer, super friendly staff, and the music/events are always fantastic. Great atmosphere every time we visit — highly recommend checking it out!
I became a new citizen of Aotearoa New Zealand and of course had to host a party with 20 friends at our cool local pub in Titahi Bay! The Beer Engine has a beautiful space outdoors, with benches and chairs and a covered roof for funky weather. Dale and Rob took care of everything, were generous, kind and made my night really special. BE has awesome beer, of course, but they also make a mean Old Fashioned, a spicy margarita, will let you taste the beers before you buy and oh, don't sleep on their pizzas! Yummo! I highly recommend planning a party at Beer Engine, it is warm, chill, affordable and fun. The space in the back is private if you want it to be, well lit at night, and can even include a karaoke set up! I also have to say, they have the cleanest bathrooms at any bar I have ever been to! Get on over there! Thank you Dale and Rob. You are legends!
Just been to The Beer Engine.nRob the bar tender was fantastic, knowledgeable and helpful.nHad their Black Curacao imperial stout and it was absolutely delicious.nWe bought some chips from next door, and Rob help us with tomato sauce, salt and serviettes. Can't recommend more highly!!!
We love Sunday afternoons at The Beer Engine, cold brews on tap, a reasonable assortment of pub snacks, great vibe, super kid and dog friendly. The owners and staff are so friendly, and the vibe is really inviting. 10/10 recommend!
