A good starter place to appreciate a little of what Syrian food is like. Unfortunately it was a cold wet day during our visit and the limited space meant the wait-person was quite busy with a full house. But the food was fresh and palatable…almost tasted like a fusion of Indian and Middle Eastern. We’ll remember not to sit at the table right by the entrance next time.
Stopped here spontaneously while travelling through and were pleased we did. There was so much to choose from on the menu but with some excellent guidance from our host we ordered two dishes to share. Both were delicious, full of flavour and with just the right hint of heat and spice.nThe service was friendly and the portions were substantial and value for money.nWe will be back again and will be recommending to our Porirua friends.
The view still acceptable is u were saying Arabic food. Shawarma is great as well mandi rice as this is my second time there. When I was there at first the chicken mandi for family size was great but Lamb mandi large size I wouldn't recommend it as it way too dried the lamb since it's a person portion.Fried chicken is good as well the portion.
Ordered online for 30 mins away collection - wouldn’t ever do it again. Had to wait an additional 20 minutes once getting there as they hadn’t even started making the food. They kept half the food in a bag around the corner getting cold whilst preparing the rest and it was a small order of 3 shawarma. No apology for the additional wait. Once we got home with the food, I realised they squashed two of the wraps at the bottom of the bag with the rest of the food. The food was dry, chips were barely cooked, and it looked horrible for what we paid for it. Unlikely I’d return as there’s better options locally. Wasn’t even a busy evening.
Great place! Big portions and the foh lady was so friendly. Highly recommended!
