Handy location by the Northern Motorway in Takapuna. Parking can be limited on weekends, course does hold water in wet months but late Spring and Summer are fine. Driving rangenAnd Golf shop on site.
Enjoyable course. Played the front nine, very flat, some tricky holes. Very well maintained. Good food at the cafe.
Very good course at a very good price. As a result it is usually quite busy, especially on weekends. If you are going to get your panties in a bunch because the pace is a bit slow or there are people in front of you learning to play golf, then I suggest go somewhere else. Tee times are tight but the staff keep an eye on things and I've had no issues. Personally I enjoy the relaxed vibe of the place. Have been coming here for 20 years and this summer the course was the best I have seen it. The greens are as good as most and better than many. A lot of effort is being made off the fairways to tidy things up, clean out drains etc, so not so many lost balls. Looks great too. Drainage work going on too. Driving range is good, usually always one if the staff there keeping it clean and tidy. Cafe facilities ok, the beer always seems to taste good. Don't know if ownership has changed lately but whoever is running the place is doing a great job, imho.
The golf facility in Auckland is outstanding overall, with particular praise for its automated driving range system. Even beginners can easily navigate it by simply creating a card and depositing balls onto it.nnOne of the greatest perks is the flexibility to hit as many balls as desired. For instance, starting with 100 balls, if you decide to stop after hitting 77, the remaining balls are promptly saved back onto your card - a feature I find incredibly convenient.nnAdditionally, the system automatically delivers the balls to your hitting ground, minimizing the need for manual setup. The facility is consistently well-maintained and while reservations aren't accepted for the driving range, finding an available spot upon arrival is typically manageable.nnAlthough there are two stories, practicing drive clubs upstairs isn't permitted.nnYou can also practice your putting skill at the outside ground of this place.nnAs a newcomer to golf, I can't offer extensive insight, but I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to refine their swings.
Very good prices and lots of bays available but very busy good environment for people of all skill levels
