Got my first Golf Lesson in 6 years. Also my first Lesson as a Left HanderPreviously I had played as a Right Hander. Jame Kupa is the Best Golf PronAround. Saying its a whole new game. You've got to relearn everything and proceeded to firmly tell how to go about it.nThanks James.
It's a pretty good course, considering it is a public course. Ian and Nick do a great job considering the divise cultures that play there every week.
A pretty good public course to start or restart your golf journey. Average fairways and greens but a few of those greens are pretty rough. A couple of holes do provide a challenge the dogleg holes, and it's almost impossible to hit out of the fescue if you manage to find your ball so best to keep it in the fairway.nnFor the people you see on the course, it's a pretty mixed bunch but pray to the heavens you don't play behind those groups of old asian golfers that play there often. No matter which golf course you play in it is proper ettiquette to let faster players/groups play through but if you try to ask these old folks if you can play ahead they get angry. I've played quite a few rounds alone here and using a golf cart and not once have I been allowed by these groups to play ahead. Management should really give them a reminder.
All things considered it's not a bad place to play however, the greens are absolutely awful. The fairways are very average. It is a public course though so that does need to be taken into consideration. It's very cheap and if you are just looking to kill a few hours or are just beginning to learn the game it does the job... just beware of the cross country golfers at times it does seem like you are being bombarded with balls from every direction!
Chamberlain is public golf course very close to the city centre, booking is not required which is very nice.nYou can play anytime of the day, just get there pay and tee off.nIf you need a cart booking is required as normally big groups play there every weekend.nDuring the week on summer time they have the twilight deal which is quite nice.nMembership is available and is quite cheap.nStaff is very friendly and helpful, course is very well looked after, it is a sham that the council is planning to reduce the size of the course.nHope they can find a solution without having to reduce it.
