We were looking for something to do in the area and ended up here. The drive into the driving range was quite interesting, going through a tunnel. There is plent of parking outside.nThere is a shop as well as a driving range. You are able to hire clubs there and the cost of the range is based on the number of balls you want to hit. you are able to share the balls between people.nThere are quite a few ranges and we were able to get one without waiting or booking. The dispenser has a ball counter. Keep an eye on the turf as it can move and cause the ball to fall from the tee. What was cool was that there is a ball tracker so you can see where you hit your balls. It keeps track of all the balls and gives an average.nIt was a nice place to spend some time and hit some balls even if you're not a golf pro.
Newly built driving range and its prob one of the best in Auckland if not in NZ. Ball tracer system is abit complicated for beginners to use. Might require some sort of instructions or sign boards for full enjoyment.
Had an issue with malfunctioning equipment and the experience which can happen anytime. This situation was managed poorly by one of the staff on duty.nnHowever the manager resolved this in a very professional manner. Happy to go back to use the range and book in for some lessons.
Lack of information on how to access the facility if not driving. Unable to walk in via the designated car entrance. Despite walking all around the track, unfortunately it doesn't look like there is pedestrian access.
Disappointed to find that the cool ball tracker tech doesn't work at night because the lighting is so poor. Be good to mention this online and maybe offer a discount. I would have gone earlier or to JKs if I'd known.
