Takapuna Beach

It was just a short walk to the beach from both shopping and dining, but it felt like I was a world away. There was a great play area for kids and public restrooms were available. Both the park and the beach were very pet friendly. This was a great place to unwind after a busy day!

Great beach and playground. We keep going when it's packed holidays and a few things need maintenance hamster wheel but over all nice inner city beach with great playground and excellent new toilet/change block

Great for taking a stroll, relaxing, and family-friendly. The beach has a great playground, is even wheelchair accessible, and features lots of trees for shade. The toilets and changing rooms are clean, and there are lots of restaurants nearby.

Dropped into Takapuna Beach to take in the ocean breeze & Latin Festival. It's a great location for something like this and free for everyone.nnThe surf club is located next door, and if the kids need more entertainment the playground is massive and at the beach.nnThose looking to enjoy the view over food and drink, there is plenty to choose from on The Strand.

Really stunning beach. Just a few minutes from the city, with a lovely cafe and ice cream shop. Very dog friendly, big park for kids and a perfect beach for relaxing, swimming or whatever. Can get crowded at peak times but even then there’s normally plenty of room.
