Great for taking a stroll, relaxing, and family-friendly. The beach has a great playground, is even wheelchair accessible, and features lots of trees for shade. The toilets and changing rooms are clean, and there are lots of restaurants nearby.
Beautiful view. Can see Rangitoto island from here. Tourist attraction area.
Dropped into Takapuna Beach to take in the ocean breeze & Latin Festival. It's a great location for something like this and free for everyone.nnThe surf club is located next door, and if the kids need more entertainment the playground is massive and at the beach.nnThose looking to enjoy the view over food and drink, there is plenty to choose from on The Strand.
One of the best beaches of Auckland, NZ. Mesmerising views, beautiful playground, shower and changing rooms available along with toilets. Picnic areas available as well.
You cannot enjoy a family picnic on the beach anymore. You receive a “sorry” from an owner who lost control of their dog,/s and this is after the fact that their dog/s has already sniffed through your bags and trampled across your picnic area. Eating at the beach is out of the question too, because you have to witness dogs/s pooing/weeing on the beach too We all love our pets, we understand, but we’ll never let them ruin someone’s family time at the beach Who’s worse? The dog/s or the dog/s owner/s? Remember that you can always teach an old dog new tricks
