Kauri Glen walkway

This short walk trail in the town center is a real gem. The paths are well maintained, making it easy and enjoyable for all ages to stroll along. Clean and sturdy handrails line the route, giving a sense of safety and care in its upkeep. What truly makes the walk special is the view—absolutely breathtaking and far beyond what you’d expect for such a central location. Whether for a quick walk, a moment of peace, or simply to enjoy nature, this trail is well worth visiting.

Lovely walk amongst the Kauri bush, quiet and peaceful. The treetop walk itself is short but there are other tracks in the bush that all link up - few stairs but otherwise easy enough. Dog friendly too which is a bonus.

I visited on a wet Sunday morning, where I saw many locals walking as part of their daily routine. The wooden deck was stunning and a joy to walk on. However, I got a few mosquito bites, so I'd recommend bringing insect repellent if you have sensitive skin.

Lovely walk, easy to get to. Love the part with the bridge that's really high up. It is a very short track, maybe about 15 to 20 mins if walking. It is not a looping track, it endd in different streets so you will need to walk back if you took your car to get to one of the entrances.

Short walk and will take you 30 minutes back and forth each path. Has wooden tracks that are safe for prams and scooters but some tracks are hilly and has stairways.nIt is a well maintained walkway in the middle of a busy city.nParking is easy on weekdays, plenty of street parks but probably can be full on weekends.nChoose a road that you want to park and the central boardwalk is a good meet up point.
