Kauri Glen walkway

I visited on a wet Sunday morning, where I saw many locals walking as part of their daily routine. The wooden deck was stunning and a joy to walk on. However, I got a few mosquito bites, so I'd recommend bringing insect repellent if you have sensitive skin.

Lovely walk, easy to get to. Love the part with the bridge that's really high up. It is a very short track, maybe about 15 to 20 mins if walking. It is not a looping track, it endd in different streets so you will need to walk back if you took your car to get to one of the entrances.

This walkway is a pleasant surprise. While short, its beauty makes up for its lack of length. The council has done a good job in creating a well-maintained and attractive space.

Surprising how big some of the Kauri are and definitely worth a visit. Boardwalks are in good order and an attractive bridge to admire as well... do use the footwear cleaning equipment to combat Kauri die-back but be aware it squirts water which made a mess of my wife's lower white trouser legs good to see the equipment is also in good order. We went on to visit the Harbour bridge lookout at 1 Queens Road and then on to lunch at nearby Chelsea Sugar Cafe. Nice morning.

Short walk and will take you 30 minutes back and forth each path. Has wooden tracks that are safe for prams and scooters but some tracks are hilly and has stairways.nIt is a well maintained walkway in the middle of a busy city.nParking is easy on weekdays, plenty of street parks but probably can be full on weekends.nChoose a road that you want to park and the central boardwalk is a good meet up point.
