We went to steam- a group of 5 of us. When I gave a call to make the reservation, chef Lalit asked some very good and right questions to know about our dietary requirements. Was impressed at that moment itself. However, the food- the food was proverbial the icing on the cake. There were different kinds of pickles achaar available too- something that is so very important for Indian cuisine, but lacking in most other Indian restaurants in Super City. Great ambience, great service and excellent food. Highly recommended.
Service was super slow. Me and my partner ordered food together but after 15 minutes I got mine and then We waited another 20 minutes for my partner’s food. It’s not great experience when you dine in together and can’t eat together. Food was okay and reasonable price can’t complain. Friendly staff and service.
We popped in on a Friday night 8th July 2022 and had a fantastic meal here. None of us are vegetarian, but honestly the food was so good that we all agreed that we did not miss having meat as an option. I will definitely be back with my family as they all need to experience the taste sensation that is Steam!
Hello there, Sharing my experience with Steam’s unlimited South Indian Buffet which was such a disaster!! To start with the South Indian Sambhar coldwhich was Gujarati Dal sweet & tangy ,in Mandu vada coldsomething was off , uttapaa small size no tasteand dosa small size as well somewhere cold and hot , shiro in sweet was more likely a gujarati khichdi , coffee was Nescafé hot . I will attach some pictures too! Worthless !!!!! I think Steam should only focus on Gujarati and Punjabi menus Or else hire special chefs if you want to have different cultures cuisine. So I can visit this place again and thats enough to give 4 star rating to food, ambience and cleanliness. Service was quick and food was delicious, of course there is always a room for improvements, especially making the Smabar more thick is one of it. Overall it was a great experience eating south indian food after a long time.
It's been almost an hour, few of us finished food, 2 friends still waiting for theirs order. I can count the staff, total 3 or could be another one person. I feel sorry for the staff as they're working so hard under pressure. Food was delicious, wait time and table etiquette are missing.

I have been to Steam several times and enjoyed the food in the past. Last visit was on Friday 17/03. We waited about 30mins for the food and it did not all arrive at the same time. By the time I received my dish, my partner had already finished his. Steam's menu explicitly indicates which of their curries are sweet. I ordered a kaju paneer curry, which did not have the 'sweet' icon next to it, but the dish tasted ridiculously sweet almost like dessert, no exaggertaion. I politely brought this up with the lady who seemed to be the manager on duty, at the end of our meal and she got extremely defensive. She started tapping her finger on the table and spoke to me with a very condescending tone, saying that it is due to the natural sweetness of the cashews. I was merely responding to her "how was your meal?" question and she took on a very rude tone, raising her voice and interrupting me while I was trying to talk. I would have let this go if not for her rudeness. Not paying $22 for a curry for it to arrive late and the server giving me attitude. Steam has lost a regular customer!
I paid 75$ for nothing. It took one and half hours to get my order ready. Not even a single item we liked. Tomato soup was the worst soup i ever had. Smell was so bad. Will never return after this experience. Yes you're right you said one hour but we've waited there for 30 more minutes as it was very busy and staff told us that our last order is Still in process. It was worth the wait if we got nice food. The review is about the quality of food. Its like Even after one n half hour of wait we got nothing. And sorry i dont have time to call and discuss. Whatever i had to say i said it here,,
Based on the reviews, we went for North Indian and Gujarati food. It was delicious. I hope they can maintain their standard and focus on their strengths. We tried their pani poori, choley bhatorey, parathas and bajra roti with baingan bharta. Every item was top notch. Will certainly be visiting again.
