Smash Palace is a bar and burger joint in High Street, Christchurch.

Story

Smash Palace specialises in local beer and wine. What started as a temporary solution following the 2011 earthquakes has grown into a Christchurch institution.

We take our burgers seriously and all items are scratch made on site.

Sitting in the middle of an earthquake-ravaged landscape, the bar is a great place to see how the new Christchurch is developing.

Don't miss our world-famous Bike Night every Thursday.

Nice place to sit outside in the sunshine on a hot day. Good atmosphere, music, food and drinks served from a bus.
I appreciate much of the burger was homemade but I just found it quite average, a little dry and lacking in flavour. The chips were also very average. Cute location though and friendly service.
Quirky outdoor bar in the heart of the CBD. Great atmosphere and nibbles. Smash Palace usually has some cool music playing on a Friday night and is an ideal place for after work drinks or a sunday casual for those who prefer less of a mainstream vibe

Great vibe and love the chips and good selection of beers to try.
Great outside environment, perfect for a summer afternoon. Beer is home-brewed and not too bad. I found the burger pretty average, but chips and sides were decent and good portion sizes. Worth a visit.
