Sultry surroundings, comely cocktails and live music! This is a funky little cocktail bar with charming staff and Brooklyn circa 1930's decor. It's a little shabby around the edges, but this just adds to the charm. Stop in for something spicy, sweet or sour
Very cool cocktail bar in the style of an old school opium den. There was a jazz singer on site the Friday we went. The acoustics in the venue were super nice. We ordered a few drinks including a funky teapot which we all very much enjoyed. Everything was pretty clean, as far as bars go. To get the drink there was a wait however the floor service was really good. Lovely person coming around to clean the drinks with some small banter. In terms of dress code they are fairly relaxed which is refreshing. Nice crowd, would definitely go again. Unfortunately I didn't get many good photos.
Safest Clubbing environment in Auckland for all genders. Dress code appropriately enforced. Bar staff are friendly and professional. Just need to get rid of that bed lol. Don't care if that bed has been there since day dot, it's unhygienic and seedy. Security take the health and safety of the patrons and staff seriously.
Super Stylish bar with beautiful lighting, atmosphere and banging beats. We'll definitely go back.Food: 5/5
This once bustling cocktail bar used to be the heart of endless disco tracks and classy live jazz. Miss the vivacious vocals of jazz artist Lady Larissa, unfortunately haven't seen her perform here in ages. Unfortunately It's lost its essence of what once Shanghai lils used to be, a classy and refined establishment.
Average bar on k rd. It's ok to go for a drink. The bed at the back really stinks like BO.Food: 3/5
Gosh is the best bar tender to walk the earth. Slay king. Ask for a bacardi cran and you’ll see god! No lie
Haven't been out for a long time and hit Bamboo tiger. It was pretty cool, they got loungers and stuff. Music was interesting and fun, golden oldies that I barely knew but my colleagues did. People were having a good time and it got pretty busy later
A long term bamboo lover here. I believe I have witnessed the downfall of bamboo. It’s devastating. Came here absolutely frothing for the classic back to back ABBA bangers that we get sick of… but really don’t. But they’re nowhere to be heard any more. Only some weird jungle rave beats. No thank you sir. Will not be returning. Never. Especially not with my BF Greg.
Very cool decor and great mix of people. Nice relaxing live blues. Was going to get busy when we left, 11pm. More cocktails than craft ales, only Tiger on tap but good selection of bottles. Well worth a visit.
